The insight that it’s not about the money or the clothes but about the discipline to show up. I could never have articulated it but this rang a bell so hard. Also reminded me, even though I was somewhat embarrassed when my mom came to my Canadian grade school this way...about how she would - every day when I was young - put on a sari, her gold bangles, red lip and a spray of the Avon ‘Timeless’ perfume. Now I understand this as Style.
