Also shout out to 90’s W magazines. I’ve got a nice stack (along with my Vogues and Harper’s Bazaar). They always felt like your cool older cousin who you secretly wanted to be.

Missoni has always struck me as that brand of Italian boho (maybe the wrong word? But definitely layabout-friendly clothing, anyway) that's unusual enough to never really be a 'trend' and so can't ever be 'played out' either but I am so here for a comeback!! Their devotion to colour makes for some killer accessories too - their stripey scarves are amazing but we're not in that season yet, also the toss-em-in-a-bag-no-wrinkles quality you described in the summer pieces makes them sound like a sexy Pleats Please.
oh yeah and they made robes and knitwear for Freddie Mercury, associations-wise it can't get more louchely glam than that!
Long waisted ... imogene + willie has some great high rise jeans (including trouser styles) and the custom hem gratis so, if you have a long inseam as well, they will fit you! Fabulous quality denim.
I worked at a high end consignment shop and people would COVET Missoni! I don’t know how to explain it but even though it’s got this bold pattern and colors, it feels like something you’d keep in your closet forever. My guess is the craftsmanship, fit, and ability to transform you into effortlessly Italian boho chic.
