The Nuxe Reve de Miel lip balm in the pot, not the tube, is THE BEST bedtime lip balm. I can still feel it when I wake up and it heals even the worst chapped lips. I am very slutty with lip products, but the Nuxe and I have been faithfully going to bed together for at least the last 15 years.

Writing this down...tattooing in my brain!

Nuxe: can recommend the deodorant balm, luxe granny armpits. Also use the dry oil as fragrance and on my hair ends

Anklets: trashy in the correct way

Books: I didn't read books for 5 years as a full time international bureaucrat. Now as a freelance bureaucrat, I am also making up for lost time and have made MORNING READING AT THE COFFEE SHOP, post drop off, part of my daily performance. Bonus if I look cute and have a physical book. Currently: just finished some Maugham (Cakes and Ale); and cannot recommend enough Hisham Matar's memoir The Return, regarding his relationship with his father, and exile from his country of Libya.

Ahem! I too have a pink Chanel classic flap bag (authentic! Hardly used! Bought circa 2005, so before the quality went down!) that's totally outta step to my usual tomboy style. Been trying to sell it with Sotheby's for months, should anyone here be interested! (Liana, if you're interested in writing a piece on Chanel resale - and why buyers don't seem to be biting! - pls message me :)

I wonder if it is because these bags are just so dang expensive and the market feels flooded?!

I think a combo of things. This (style of) bag was selling for $10k on Sotheby's 2 years ago and I waited too long to decide to sell mine. In the meantime the luxury bubble burst, cost of living crisis bit and I think the market probably got flooded with people like me thinking 'what am I doing with a 10k bag in my closet and not in my bank account. I'm not Carrie Bradshaw!' And so there are more Chanel bags sloshing about out there than buyers. (Or maybe no-one wants a pink Chanel, they all want The Row!)

Hmmm what particular shade of pink? Not that I can buy at the moment or even wear pink myself but still curious!

Nuxe reve de miel lip balm is god tier. Like a down comforter for lips. Thank you for reminding me that I need some. I don’t read recently published literary fiction in general so I feel very out of the loop with like the All Fours and Salley Rooney discourse. I’ve come to read exclusively nonfiction which shocks me.

Have been lurking the Nuxe selections at all the UES drugstores but unsure what to get (since who know when next I will be in Paris), so once again: TIMELY.

the only thing I've ever used from Nuxe is the lip balm, lovely stuff but it suffered the fate of all portable cosmetics - lost in a jacket pocket somewhere...

on anklets, I am all in favour though maybe dependent on sensory issues.....used to absolutely pile them on in the 00s trying to be 'girlie' and still like them but only if smooth, poky bits get very irritating if they're around the ankle!

Also all in favour of the Neverfull, for a bag with a flashy rep it's got such a neutral colour scheme and unobtrusive silhouette that it fits seamlessly into virtually any outfit. Can't wait to see the report from the Neverworns closet sale!

(my sympathies on the not finishing books part - been there, only my version was the kind that hard drive memory wiped from my brain every book that I read between 2010-2016. I'm currently back down my Mitford sisters rabbit hole with Poison Penmanship, a compilation of Jessica Mitford's journalistic pieces from 1955-1979 - I've read it before but forgot it completely so this really feels like a first read. Also midcentury journalism is VERY different in tone from the present day!)
