#NEVERWORNS On "The London Look" of Fantasy-Meets-Sidewalk and a Chopova Lowena Top
The #NW episode star? Lynette Nylander! And you can buy her collectible Chopova Lowena top on eBay.
Today on the #NEVERWORNS episode edition…a series with eBay (!), aka the most democratic, for-the-people resale site, I’m talking about Lynette Nylander of Dazed who has the most fab London style I’ve ever seen…and how you can get her pieces—and her London Look—on eBay.

#NEVERWORNS x Lynette Nylander of the eBay series has dropped on YouTube. Watch it here. Store front to buy her garments on eBay is here. This is following up our #NEVERWORNS episode with Brandon Veloria of James Veloria.
I absolutely love Lynette’s style. She’s US editorial director of Dazed, an editor, a consultant, a writer, and as she always tells me…a VIRGO. I think she is one of these quintessential London women because her style—a fantastic mishmash of young designers and vintage and a whole lotta Junya—is an incredible representation of the melting pot, music, and subcultures that define London. Everything looks good on her because every piece, no matter how outré it is on its own, is worn to be lived in, even for the most mundane tasks. Hell, I think Lynette wears Comme to do her laundry. A majesty in Junya to take out the trash!
Lynette is one of the women who helps me to see fashion through a different lens and not just my ole-‘90s-archival-Donna-Karan-pantsuit-donning, Tom-Ford-era-Gucci-tank-top-wearing type of way. She’s one of these rare people who expands how I view clothes. There could be a Junya Watanabe powder pink cropped jacket or some weirdly shaped Comme piece I can’t wrap my head around…and yet, she makes it all work in her own way that feels digestible and not manufactured for a step-and-repeat life. “That fantasy mixed with the realness of me being out in the world in cities like London, and like NYC, makes something quite interesting,” Lynette texts me. Ultimately, she holds the talent of dissecting magical core pieces from their full freaky looks on the runway and reinterprets them for her own, very real universe of the subway to a dinner to a party. In other words, she injects that aforementioned step-and-repeat component of fashion into her day-to-day. Of course, that’s a perpetual goal with clothes, but it’s always easier said than done!
NOW, so some HIT pieces from the show.
The Chopova Lowena Archival Top (BUY, PEEP)
The amount of texts I’m getting about this early Chopova Lowena shirt! In the video, Lynette explains that she bought it during the genesis days of London-based label when there was no hype; no Dua Lipa airtime! There was something that drew her to the piece—perhaps the great graphic! Something I loved in this episode was when Lynette explained how the tag of Chopova Lowena has changed over the years, morphing from basic to text with a mirrored, upside-down touch. You can really track a brand’s voice and development through their tag evolution. (Tag designs are often used to date vintage and archive). And here is an early example of just that in an early piece of Chopova. This will be a collectible in a few years, mark my words!
This Junya Watanabe Denim Skirt (BUY, PEEP)
I think if there is one person who has converted me into the Junya Watanabe-verse, it is Lynette! She has a killer collection of Junya that is filled with archival pieces; some with a sliver of great sex appeal. Personally, I love that this denim skirt cut with stormy tulle because it shakes up the standard denim skirt and pumps it with some HRH-style volume. According to Lynette, it is a collectible and guess what, it still has a mf’ing TAG on it.
This JW Anderson Bumper BAG (BUY, PEEP)
I can’t escape this bag. It’s on the arms of a zillion girlies in my feed. Ok, I understand the appeal: It has that brilliant, head-turning freshly cut grass hue and it is a shoulder bag meaning it is hands-free for that STRESS-FREE life! You can also, like, stuff it. Think: thin cardigan, sunglasses, all your makeup and beyond! It’s like if the bags of the girls in The Sweetest Thing were, like, in 2023.

I love hearing about what people's fashion grooves (for lack of a better word) are and how they got to them. Doesn't have to be the same as mine, just feel individual and the result of a life lived instead of a bunch of trend reports/celebrity/influencer campaigns noted.
(Lynette's collection is to die for, that Junya skirt is incredible. Also I feel like Junya's runway often lands on the more wearable side of the Comme-verse once you start breaking pieces down)
I should have acted faster on that Junya skirt!
